Extraordinary impact in the last 15 years
It has been an incredible 15 years with a successful journey in which we created a positive impact for hundreds of children, women and needy people of Nepal. We are still very much determined, positively motivated, and diligently working to celebrate more joys together with our foreign partners, and numerous individual supporters from all around the world. Financial need is always there to achieve our bigger goal, but we are hoping to meet this challenge with our network. Thanks for your continued support and for believing in us and the social work that we are doing in Nepal.

You are the Hero
Because of your love and kindness; so many lives in Nepal have been transformed from sadness into happiness. Our goal is to support more vulnerable lives, and for that, we need your continued financial support and generosity.
You may also choose NCF Nepal as a fundraising project or you may suggest it to your friends and families for the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s.

Girl from nothing into independent path…
Hello and Namaste. My name is Sumitra BK. I was rescued by NCF Nepal in 2003, together with my sister. We used to live in a vulnerable condition in the street waiting for someone to help us. But, as soon as I joined the children’s home, I got a family-like atmosphere where I enjoyed every second of my life in which I received nutritional food, quality education, medical support and psychological support to guide me toward the independence I have today. It took 15 years of regular support to reach where I am today. I recently have completed 12th grade and am ready to study for college. Recently, I was offered a job as receptionist at the Himalayan Guest House, which allows me independence with my daily financial needs. Although this income might not be sufficient for my college study, I am pretty sure that NCF Nepal and IBSH-Australia will support me to gain more formal education to fulfill my journey toward self-independence.
I would like to thank all the donors and supporters, who have significantly contributed their hard-earned money to support me, to the uncles and mummies from NCF Nepal, who dedicated their lives to nurture me, and to all my siblings at Namaste Community Foundation, Pokhara, Nepal, who accepted me as their sister.
Enrollment in new level
We are proud to share that the children who have completed the 12th grade are ready to enroll in the Bachelor’s degree program and the 10th grade students have already joined the Step by Step Secondary School for 11th grade in the management stream. They all are enjoying their new schools, new books, new friends and new way of learning.
Children’s great accomplishment
We are yet again very happy to share some accomplishments of our children and congratulate our beloved daughters for passing their class 11 with decent scores as follows;
A hope of independence
Our Women’s Empowerment Centre has already selected another group of 20 single women for the next 3 months of full-time training on Tailoring. This is our 7th group, excluding yearly refreshment trainings, organized in our Ghachowk Centre. We would like to thank the Namaste Foundation, Netherlands for their continuous financial partnership to make this program successful. These women will be receiving a second opportunity for their lives by gaining skills that will allow them financial freedom, along with a small seed fund to start their new business.
Trek for change
In order to raise funds for the youth supported under Namaste Community Foundation, our partner charity International Brothers and Sisters Home-Australia, has been organizing a bicycle ride with the technical support from Trek for Change-Australia. This year, 5 bicyclists are challenging themselves both physically and emotionally by riding 340 km to raise funds for IBSH projects in Nepal. Through Everyday Hero, thousands of dollars have already been raised to support the education of disadvantaged Nepali students. We thank all our riders and donors for their efforts so far. The staff at Outbound Tours and Travels, along with our own NCF Nepal staff have been working hard to make this campaign successful.
Apart from their regular studies, our children have been participating in various extra-curricular activities which include quilting lessons every weekend for youth (11th & 12th grade), dance competitions, art competitions, etc. We are proud to share that Miss Simar (Moti) BK has secured first place in the debate competition organized among the children’s homes in the Kaski district. This program was organized on the occasion of Children’s Day.
Happy Dashain 2075
The festival season has begun, and our biggest festival is already very close to us. We would like to wish all our donors, partner charities, supporters, well-wishers, government line agencies and all the entire universe a very happy and prosperous Dashain. This is the longest Hindu festival in Nepal, celebrated for two weeks with prayers and offerings to Durga, the Universal Mother Goddess. It is a time for family reunions, exchange of gifts and blessings, and elaborate pujas.
