The lockdown situation has been creating many difficulties for low-income families; especially for single women and their children. The Nepal government has been trying to support them and are requesting other social organizations to participate as much as possible to show humanitarian efforts during this emergency period.
NCF Nepal, in collaboration with local government representatives (Pokhara-6, Lakeside), managed to purchase groceries worth Nrs 200,000 and made 200 small packages to reach more families in need. Unfortunately, due to a limited budget and numerous needy people, these packages might be enough for only a week for a 2 to 3-member family. The distribution was completed on the 17th & 18th of April.
There are many more people in need of urgent support. If you would like to and are able to be a part of this social cause, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
