Nepal’s health workers have always been faced with the shortages of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including masks. These frontline fighters have been risking their lives to protect others in need. The Chief Minister of Gandaki Province has requested financial support to buy PPE and other safety equipment from the charities and other institutions to help fight this battle.
In financial support of Tuuli and Carl (Directors: Wind of Change International); we decided to participate in this novel cause together with other 5 charities working locally and contributed Nrs. 100,000 each to buy 73 PPE and 5,000 surgical masks immediately. The PPE has been handed over to Chief Minister and the surgical masks to Gandaki Regional Hospital; which is the ONLY Covid-19 treatment Government Hospital in this region. Mr. Visma Raj Paudel (Founder/Chairperson) and Mr. Man Singh Chaudhary (Manager) were presented in the meetings and to handover the sum directly to the medical supplier.
